Live bottoms
Live bottoms are multiple screw systems (depending on the project) for the controlled dosage or discharge from a bunker or silo of bulk goods with poor flow properties.
When to use live bottoms?
- For dosing products with strong bridging properties from buffers.
The entire buffer becomes ‘active’, preventing dead zones from forming.
- When a lot of product needs to be buffered but there is little height available and you want to maximize use of the space.
A custom-made live bottom
We also develop and supply live bottoms for powders, granules, flakes or granulates with low bulk density. The systems are available in various widths. Applications for round, square and rectangular storage bunkers are also available.
