We can deliver a large number of ATEX product category 1 machines , faster than is usual. This is because we have ATEX type approval for machines in this category.
History-based experienceFor decades, TÜV-Rheinland inspectors have assessed a countless number of machines for various ATEX categories. During this time, we have proven that we meet the requirements: our documentation is in order and the workmanship of our production employees is highly regarded by TÜV.
Machines used in explosive environments must have an ATEX certificate. Previously, each individual screw conveyor for Zones 0 and 20 had to undergo a once-only test by a TÜV inspector before being issued with an ATEX certificate. This is a time-consuming procedure, which is why we joined the type approval scheme.
Notified body TÜV-Rheinland issued the ATEX type approval because of our proven craftsmanship, and because our machines are always built using the same standard manufacturing methods. As a result, a large proportion of the machines that we make for product category 1 do not need to be individually inspected.
ATEX Category 1 offers the highest possible level of protection. This means that we can guarantee the required safety level even during exceptional malfunctions. In other words: even during exceptional malfunctions, a Van Beek machine cannot become a source of ignition.
