Thanks to Van Beek’s innovative cleaning techniques screw conveyors can also comply with the most stringent hygiene standards. In some segments of the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries screw conveyors were previously not seen as an option, but the Hypreme products SpeedClean and EasyClean have changed all this.
In the EasyClean concept the whole screw can be removed horizontally from the body. The screw has bearings on one side and the whole unit is on ball bearing wheels on an external frame in the line of the conveyor. A double screw application is also possible by using a support frame.
Another option within EasyClean is the combination with a swivel arm. The screw is then removed in the horizontal direction and then the whole unit is swivelled out of the line of the conveyor.
The SpeedClean concept can be used on screw conveyance systems and screw heat exchangers. The screw of the SpeedClean is lifted into the cleaning position in one vertical movement. The bearings and seals can also be reached then at the same time.
The screw is lifted in a user-friendly and ergonomic manner. In the cleaning position both the trough and the screw can each be fully accessed separately for cleaning and inspection. After cleaning and inspection the screw drops back into the original position.
